HouseOps does not control equipment, monitor live conditions, detect hazards, verify code compliance, perform an inspection or guarantee that a user-created label or procedure is correct. Normal values, service intervals and equipment status may become outdated.
Always verify the physical system
- Read the physical label, nameplate and current manufacturer instructions.
- Confirm the actual position and state of breakers, valves and isolators.
- Use appropriate test instruments; never assume a circuit, pipe or vessel is de-energized or depressurized.
- Check whether conditions, wiring, plumbing or equipment changed after the record was created.
- Use current local codes, permits and authority requirements rather than HouseOps templates.
Hazardous work requires qualified judgment
Electrical, gas, combustion, fire-protection, refrigerant, pressurized-water, structural and similar work can cause serious injury, death or property damage. Use a properly licensed and qualified professional where the work, manufacturer or local law requires one. Use suitable personal protective equipment and energy-isolation procedures.
Technicians remain responsible for their work, verification, regulatory scope and client communication. HouseOps output is not an official inspection report unless an authorized professional separately makes and signs that representation.
Procedures and checklists
A HouseOps scenario or checklist may contain user-entered steps. Review the complete procedure before starting. Stop if the actual system differs, a step is unclear, a required tool is unavailable or conditions appear unsafe. Do not use a generic shutdown sequence for an unfamiliar installation.
In an emergency
Do not spend time searching HouseOps when there is an immediate threat to life or property. Move to a safe location and contact the appropriate local emergency service, utility or qualified emergency technician. Follow official emergency instructions.
